How does it work?
The classification consists of a simple visit of your property by an agent the tourism office. During this visit, we will evaluate your property according to criteria divided into 3 main categories:
- equipment and arrangements;
- service to vacationers;
- accessibility and sustainable development.
This visit will classify your property with a number of stars ranging from 1 to 5 stars.
Good to know : the classification of furnished tourist accommodation or a guest room is not obligatory, it is done on the basis of a voluntary approach. That said, it brings you many benefits.
how much does it cost ?
The cost of visiting and processing your file is 180€ for accommodation up to 150m2 and 200€ for accommodation of more than 150m2. The classification is valid for 5 years. After that, you will need to repeat your approach.
what are my advantages?
- Taxation: 71% tax relief instead of 50% for unclassified furnished accommodation.
- A guarantee of quality: effective throughout France, the star rating allows the customer to associate a certain quality and level of comfort and service with furnished tourist accommodation wherever they stay.
- The possibility ofaccept holiday vouchers : only classified tourist accommodation can join the ANCV (National Association of Holiday Vouchers) and thus accept this method of payment.
- A simplified tourist tax : with a fixed rate determined according to the number of stars.
- A privileged visibility*: Bandol Tourisme offers you visibility in its accommodation guide with a dedicated insert (photos, contact) for your property as well as visibility on its website.
* This advantage only applies to accommodations that manage their rentals themselves, from individual to individual.
HOW TO REQUEST AND PREPARE FOR MY VISIT?
- Collect your classification file at the Bandol tourist office or download it directly here.
- Return the completed file either directly to the office reception or by email to the address classification@bandoltourisme.fr.
- Upon receipt of these documents we will contact you to arrange a date for the visit.
Good to know : on the day of the visit, your property must be presented “ready to rent”, i.e. heated, tidy, equipped and not occupied.
