Relay race of an ancient shield

This sporting and cultural project aims to promote the heritage, the actors and the coastal territory of the PACA Region, a few days before the arrival of the flame in Marseille. It is part of the dynamic of the next Olympics and has been recognized and labeled Cultural Olympiad.

It takes the form of a relay race, with the runners passing on the archaeological reproduction of an ancient shield.

The runners are local and national athletes. They will follow one another on a 282,2 km long route, from the Trophée d'Auguste de La Turbie, to the Old Port of Marseille, from April 30 to May 5 while crossing historical and cultural sites of interest.

Natacha Piecq, Bandolais trail champion, will be our torchbearer. Come and encourage her on Saturday May 4 at 10:45 a.m. on the Church Square at the start of the journey she will make via the Bandol coastal path towards Saint Cyr Sur mer, i.e. 11.5km with some elevation gain.
