First step towards seasonal rental of your property: declare your residence as furnished tourist accommodation or bed and breakfast. How to do it ? Follow the leader !

Step 1: Obtain my registration number

The registration number is a unique number assigned to your accommodation. Proof of correct declaration of your property, it allows you to rent. This 13-digit number must appear on all rental advertisements available on the various platforms (Airbnb, Le Bon Coin, Abritel, etc.). The latter replaces the CERFA used a few years ago.

To obtain this number, simply go to the site www.declaloc.fr. On the latter, you will first need to indicate the municipality of your property, then click on “First connection”. Then, you will have to fill out a form in 3 steps: create my account, create my hosting, take my steps. Once these documents are completed, we will move on to the second step, change of use.

step 2: make my change of use

The change of use only concerns owners renting out their second home. Legal obligation since January 1, 2023, the change of use allows the municipality to count the number of beds available for vacationers throughout the city. This number depends on multiple classifications, labels and also obligations in the event of a deficit.

To make your change of use, simply click on “Request change of use” at the end of the declaration form completed on the declaloc.fr website (see video just above). You will then be asked for new information about your property (cadastral reference, surface area, number of rooms, etc.).

Step 3: I start renting!
