The basis of the exhibition is the relationship between clay and the body, exploring its ability to mold and be molded through circus acrobatics. The manipulation of mud on stage takes the audience on a journey inside a show full of unique and suggestive shapes and sculptures. This treatment makes the show unique each time it is presented and can surprise both the audience and the artist. As the show unfolds, one can observe physical changes in the materials. The human body gets tired, the clay becomes deformed. Both are sweating. The line that separates them fades and the bodies become one.
Animal Religion is a Spanish circus company interested in finding new paths within contemporary circus and interdisciplinarity. In 7 years of career, she has produced 9 shows of different formats, worked with more than 30 artists from all over the world, received commissions from the TNC – Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, the Fira Tàrrega, the Mercat de les Flors, the TNT Festival – Terrassa Noves Tendències and the Auditori de Barcelona. He has received awards and recognition, including the Premi Especial Ciutat de Barcelona for the Sifonòfor show in 2016.
