Alex'anian, a very talented painter and sculptor, recognized for his creativity in painting about his country of origin, Armenia. His knife work reflects the strength of the history of this tortured country. In the Armenia series, he skillfully moves away from the attraction of the image. Having no more model to represent, no more basis for imitation, he gives his most expressive, even lyrical, sometimes gestural painting a true transfiguration.

His impulsive, rapid gesture reflects a primordial (rather than primitive) action more important than the work itself. Allowing himself to be carried away to an elsewhere that he ignores by a creative force imbued with brutality and conscience, in reference to the Armenian genocide. The vision that emerges from this form of abstraction where the work remains in the service of an “Artistic in depth” end, gives the reader a very present approach to pain.

Sometimes on the Provence series where he lives, sometimes on the series called Venice where he often likes to go. His creative process is revealed through a smooth impasto technique and in very characteristic bright shades, recognizable at first glance. He develops his artistic path with a style of great intensity while in opposition to these three major themes which mark the contrast: Armenia, Provence and Venice.
