Its microclimate has allowed Mourvèdre, the king grape variety of the AOC, to produce exceptional red and rosé wines.
The Garenne estate currently covers 27 hectares, 22 of which are under the AOC designation.
The Bandol wines produced at Domaine de la Garenne are made from noble grape varieties planted in clay-limestone soil dating back to the Neo-Cretaceous period. Here, Mourvèdre, the king of the AOC, Cinsault, and Grenache reign supreme; they are perfectly suited to the vineyard's exceptional microclimate.
