Two generations working in the same direction and feeding off each other to always highlight the inexhaustible qualities of this little geological gem.
The estate covers 60 hectares of AOC Bandol, comprising a number of plots of varying geological characteristics. The majority of the production is located between the two massifs of Castellet, Cadière d'Azur, and the hillsides of Sainte Anne du Castellet.
This is where Bandol's flagship grape variety, Mourvèdre, expresses itself in all its richness. It brings structure and finesse to the rosé, and an aromatic palette of spices and licorice to the reds.
To balance this expression, it is accompanied by the traditional grape varieties of Provence, Cinsault, Grenache and Carignan.
The vineyard is mainly composed of old vines, but rigorous management of uprooting and renewal is ensured.
WE LOVE
Organic Agriculture certification and the HVE level 3 label.
The direction taken by the estate towards agro-agriculture in recent years. The goal is to adapt the vineyard to climate change, by combining trees and vines on the same plot. The trees help restore soil fertility, develop biodiversity, and the shade they provide helps reduce temperatures within the plots. The slopes are kept vegetated. The large flat stones present in our soil at the place called "Les Lauves" are used to build low walls and rockery areas favorable to the development of local wildlife. Protection zones for birds and pollinating insects are under study. This is how biodiversity develops, which we believe is essential to the balance of our agricultural production.
WINES
* Vintage Les Lauves
“Deep color with purple highlights, powerful and expressive nose of ripe black fruits, ample, round, and warm palate. Silky and fine tannins. Beautiful overall balance.”
* Cuvée Rosé Tradition
“Freshness and subtlety. Clear and bright color, slightly salmon, fine nose of candied citrus fruits and spices.
Balanced, fresh mouth, supported by a beautiful aromatic persistence and great finesse.
