Acquired by the Ott family in 1956, Château Romassan required 30 years of effort and experience to produce great wines, typical and characteristic of the Bandol AOC appellation.

Entirely replanted with noble grape varieties, its small plots have been reorganized and leveled, in terraces and terraces, while the superb XNUMXth century building which watches over these lands was completely restored.

Mourvèdre is the property's first grape variety. Native, it is particularly adapted to this arid climate and to this ascetic soil. Its beautiful temperament is expressed through the power of its accords, the robustness of the structure, its length in the mouth and in the cellars.

In smaller proportions, the Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grape varieties are also cultivated. The vines are on average twenty-five years old on the 74 hectares cultivated. The vine draws its characteristics from the distinctive and distinguished soil of the estate. Made up of limestone, sandstone and marl, nourished by gravel, this singular land, associated with a sunny and particularly dry microclimate, gives rise to elaborate and very powerful wines for aging.
