Conference presented by Ms. Colonna-Césari and organized by UTL

The joint stay of Raphael, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci in the Eternal City, from 1513 to 1516.

The proposed conference will address the context of the years 1513, a period from which the three great masters will be gathered in Rome for a few months. Their joint presence crowns a form of artistic apogee: the Roman golden age of the High Renaissance. How did the three geniuses coexist? What works did they create in this context? What lives did they lead in Rome, and what rivalries opposed them – because there were some!
