Quai des Moulins, 13260 Cassis
The Sea Festival is a unique opportunity to discover the maritime traditions of Cassis.
The festivities begin on Friday, June 27 at 19 p.m., with the fishermen's aperitif, offered to the public by the Fishermen of the Prud'homie of Cassis, Place Mirabeau.
Then comes the highlight of this weekend, Sunday 29, with the celebration of Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishermen.
After mass, celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Saint Michel church in Cassis, the procession wanders through the village and the port accompanied by traditional dances, to board the boats around 11:30 a.m., heading for the Bay of Cassis. Then begins the ceremony at sea during which the sailors ask their patron saint for fruitful catches and protection for the boats and their crew against bad weather.
And to end this beautiful morning, the ACBT offers you a sardine feast on the A. Briand promenade from noon. (Price: €10)
