The opening is scheduled at the Galerie Ravaisou at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2026.

Miguelina Rivera, an artist exhibiting at the Ravaisou gallery, is collaborating with artist Mehdi Melhaoui to offer an artistic project combining their monumental sculptures.

This project is structured around eight monumental sculptures for public space; three individual pieces per artist, as well as two sculptures created in fusion, the result of the encounter of two aesthetic and sensitive universes.

Mehdi Melhaoui is a Moroccan artist, born in Casablanca in 1983, graduated from the Montpellier School of Fine Arts in 2010. Since 2003, Mehdi Melhaoui has participated in group exhibitions in Morocco, Algeria, Germany and France.

The artist explores the major concepts of transference. From 2012 to 2017, he undertook a lengthy research and exhibition project dedicated to issues of migration, the perception of the horizon, and the materiality of abandonment. According to Mehdi, migration now also presents diverse challenges; the digitalization of society has definitively altered the traceability of individuals, identification, and even the notion of privacy.

The artist bases all of his research at the beginning of the 21st century on understanding societal and technological upheavals.
