Hervé NYS was born in Cagnes-sur-Mer in 1960. From farmer parents, he learned very quickly that the land was low. His taste for mechanics allows him to repair equipment to alleviate the pain.

In 1978, he passed a BEPA in Agricultural Mechanics in Isle-sur-Sorgues.

In 1980, military service being compulsory, he preferred to join the Naval Air Force to continue his studies in mechanics. He repairs the Super-Etendard, Fouga Magister in Salon de Provence. It was also the birth of his passion for Kustom Kulture.

In 1987, he left the army, married and became a machinist in the family leather goods business. He works on cutting and printing presses. He thus comes into contact with fashion by creating trendy patterns according to the seasons and creates new printing matrices. After his divorce, he started from scratch and returned to his first passion by buying and modifying a few cars and motorcycles. He found work in 1994 and became an engraver in a lost wax art foundry, then discovering a world totally unknown to the general public. He works in close collaboration with internationally renowned artists (Kees Verkade, Franta, Hans Hedberg, Nicolas Lavarenne, Miki Toshiharu, Marion Burkle, Cyril de la Patellière, etc.). For 10 years, he enriched himself with all these artists' creations and thus acquired mastery of molding, casting, carving and patina.

In 2003, he left the foundry to become the assistant of Sacha Sosno (artist from the School of Nice) until the latter left us in 2013. At the same time, he developed his own art based on his first passions, mechanics and nature using them as a support.

He sculpts our collective memory with humor and reminds us that man wants to tame everything, dominate, go faster, higher, further... His journey gives rise to sculptures in the artistic world that have never been seen before in contemporary art.
