The Art et Découvertes association offers you an outing to discover the Italian Riviera.
This 2-day outing will take us to Italy.
After following the coasts of the French Riviera, we will head towards LIGURIA, on the edge of the Italian Riviera.
> 1st Day: IMPERIA – SAN REMO
Magnificent town on the Ligurian coast, IMPERIA, was, by decree of Mussolini in 1923, formed by the regrouping of Porto Maurizio, Oneglio and some surrounding villages.
It is the IMPERIA river, which divides the city into two parts, which gave its name to the city. The guided discovery of its historic center will be followed by a visit to the GROCK villa, named after the famous Swiss clown, its marvelous garden and the clown museum.
After lunch we will head to the town of SAN REMO. This city is known for being the capital of flowers, but also for its Italian music festival and for its car rally. It offers sumptuous examples of architecture, from Baroque to Art Nouveau, Romanesque and Neoclassical.
We will take a guided tour of the historic center and the main monuments. After this wonderful day of discoveries, we will return to the hotel where dinner will be served and where we will spend the night.
> 2nd day: BORDIGHERA – DOLCE ACQUA
We will explore BORDIGHERA, known for its old town and its exotic gardens. It is the pearl of Western Liguria with an extraordinary climate. We will take a guided tour of the upper town.
We will then head to DOLCE ACQUA. We will have lunch at the LE RIO del MULINO restaurant, where you can taste chef Paolo's typical local recipes.
We will then set off to explore the town, characterized by its fortified castle with two large towers, perched on a rock. It was built by the tales of Ventimiglia and enlarged over the centuries. In the 14th century, it became the fortified residence of the Doria.
We will not forget to linger on the medieval bridge celebrated by Claude Monet, as a “jewel of lightness”.
After two busy days, we will take the bus back to Bandol.
Total price of the stay: €360.
Supplement for a single room: €30.
Please note that we will have very few rooms for single people. You are advised to group together to share double rooms
Registration will be final after payment of the deposit of €150, knowing that the association is on vacation in July and August.
The balance must be paid on September 10, 2024.
