“From Broadway to the French Riviera.”

This is a musical journey with singer Andrea Caparros, the Big Sud ensemble of Nicolas Folmer and Christophe Dal Sasso, and the Toulon Opera Orchestra. From the magic of New York musicals to the golden hues of the Mediterranean, this exceptional concert takes you on a captivating voyage through the worlds of jazz, classical music, and song. This project revisits the great standards of the New York scene—from Cole Porter to George Gershwin, by way of Richard Rodgers and Leonard Bernstein—giving them new life through subtle jazz arrangements, sometimes intimate, sometimes explosive, as well as original compositions by Nicolas Folmer and Christophe Dal Sasso. Between swing, enchanting ballads, and improvisational flights, the audience rediscovers classics such as Summertime, My Funny Valentine, and Somewhere with a fresh perspective, full of sensitivity and creativity.

To enhance this program with shimmering colors, the Toulon Opera Orchestra brings its symphonic breadth, weaving a refined setting for these works reinvented between two continents, between the American dream and the sweetness of the south of France.
