If the sun is out, we advise you to opt for an establishment with a terrace, to enjoy the first rays. Otherwise, don’t hesitate to open the doors of the merchants! A warm atmosphere of a village bar or a cocooning place awaits you.

What we are going to offer you next requires you to be equipped with a good picnic! And here again, there is no shortage of choice. First of all, know that every morning is held on the pretty Town Hall square, our daily market. A human-scale landmark of artisans and producers from the surrounding area. Some restaurateurs in the city even have a stand where they offer homemade takeaway meals.

The other option is to opt for one of the boulangeries of the city where sandwiches, fougasses, pissaladières and other bakery and southern delights await you.

Bandol has many advantages. But if you only saw one today, it would be its natural side. Because, this is not to brag, but our coastal landscapes are particularly splendid!

You may have already heard of our littora pathL. The one that leaves Bandol towards Saint-Cyr. Well it’s precisely this hike that we offer.

You can start your walk from the city port heading west. Walk alongside the pointus, these small fishing boats so typical of the South. Continue your route on the Corniche Bonaparte. You will then arrive at the beautiful beach of Renecros. At this time of year, the latter may be covered in algae. It is Posidonia brought back by the waves. Although hiding the golden sand, this algae is very important here. It protects our coasts from erosion and is also protected.

Continue your way along the city's different coves. They respond to the names Eden Roc, Capelin or even Engraviers. This last and final cove of Bandol and you will have needed about 45 minutes to get here. But our journey does not end there. At the end of the beach, a climb awaits you.

This allows you to gain height over the sea and thus enjoy breathtaking landscapes. Umbrella pines, crystal clear Mediterranean and rock ranging from beige to ocher await you. From there, the coastal path is marked with a yellow line on the trees.

Lay out your towel to enjoy a lunch alone with the sea. It’s a chance that is not offered to everyone! Take a break in the sun, with the sound of the waves breaking on the pebbles in the background. Enjoy the present moment.

We know that this beach was great, but we still had to get back before dark! It could not be easier : take the same path as on the way there. Boring you tell us? Well not at all. This trail, depending on the direction we take, the time we take it, is completely different. The landscapes change, the colors too… It’s a spectacle that we never tire of.

That's it, you are back on Bandol. Depending on the month in which you are here (and therefore the time at which the sun sets) we recommend either:

• to stop on the way back to the level of the Capelin beach for admire the sunset ;
• to take a walk into town to wait for the sunsetAnd then join the Corniche Bonaparte to observe it.
