Saturday: discovery of bandol

Freshly arrived, take the morning to put down your things, resume a bit of the trip and start to disconnect. For lunch, we recommend one of our many Bandolais restaurants ! The afternoon is a city ​​discovery who is waiting for you. Stroll through the little colorful streets of downtown, admire the pretty points that adorn our main quay and learn more about the history of Bandol. Sunday: Mediterranean coastal walk

On this Sunday, the best way to enjoy the surrounding nature is to walk the coastal path. This ride of 4h round trip will take you straight to the Calanque de Port d'Alon, a small pebble beach located in the town of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer.

And if the arrival point is magnificent, the path that takes us there is just as fabulous. You will cross a pine forest, admire the Mediterranean from a height and enjoy the sea spray. A must-see hike in Bandol, which locals and holidaymakers love to do.

Monday: visit to the Var hinterland

After having surveyed the coast, it would be time to discover the lands.

Our Sud-Sainte-Baume territory is not just the sea, it is also a countryside rich in Provençal culture. Pretty villages with the sweet names of Castellet, the Cadière d'Azur, Riboux or Evenos offer you sublime postcard landscapes.

There are still 2 villages that stand out and which, in our opinion obviously, are essential: La Cadière d'Azur and Le Castellet. One is a typical Provencal village where you can stroll peacefully in the charming little alleys and the other is a ancient medieval city filled with local creators. What they have in common: a 360° view, where fields of vines and olive trees plunge into a turquoise sea.

Tuesday: market and southern relaxation

Tuesday, in Bandol, is day of Brive market ! From 8 a.m. to 13 p.m., a big market takes place all over the platform. Present: local producers with their tasty fruits and vegetables, Provençal artisans, butcher, roaster, fisherman... In short, ideal for preparing a good Bandolais lunch!

In the afternoon, take it easy! Tune in a free afternoon in your schedule vacation. Because that’s also what holidays are: doing nothing, unwinding, relaxing, disconnecting.

If you are yoga enthusiast, Capelin peninsula might be a good option. By going almost to the end of it, you will advance into the sea. Your only horizon will then be the open sea and nothing but the open sea... And if you are more Netflix series under the covers, don’t feel guilty about taking time for yourself, it’s important!

Wednesday: cultural day in Toulon

Bandol has the advantage of being both in the heart of Provence with direct access to nature, but also of remaining very close to large cities. Among them, there are Toulon.

And on the catering side, the city halls are to be discovered. These bring together a lot of local talent who offer you packages with excellent value for money. All this, with this atmosphere of a large market deliberately nestled in the South-West.

Good to know : Toulon is located on absolutely all transport axes. By car, 15 minutes are enough to find you in full center thanks to the highway. By bus, the 885 will take you from Gaming casino in Bandol, to Toulon station (located in the city center) in less than an hour. And by train, it’s even easier. The TER Marseille-Toulon-Hyères will take you from Bandol station to Toulon station in less than 15 minutes. There is even a Toulon/Hyères airport. But we don’t have that yet in Bandol.

Thursday: get some fresh air at the Departmental Ecomuseum of the 4 brothers

A few minutes away, 26 to be precise, is a very pretty place. The Departmental Ecomuseum of the 4 Brothers is located in Beausset, in an exceptional green setting.

The place is made to allow you tolearn more about the surrounding nature, on its functioning, on the living being but also and above all to reconnect with the essentials and to oxygenate your mind.

Whether in the form of exhibitions, workshops, treasure hunts or simply hikes, you will have no trouble immersing yourself in unknown territory. Because if there’s ever a time when we can allow ourselves a breath of fresh air, it’s the holidays!

Friday: truffle day in Aups

With this activity, we deviate a little from the rule to offer you an outing outside Bandoles territory. But this is also our mission: to make Bandol your base to allow you to discover an entire region, an entire culture, our dear and unique Yes.

For this last day, let's go into the field of gluttony and gastronomy with the black gold that is the truffle. And it’s in Aups, at the House of the Truffle more specifically that we take you. This small village located at the gates of Verdon is an epicurean’s paradise.

There, a good number of events around truffles are organized every winter: festivals, tastings, workshops... Don't miss the black truffle market which is held every Thursday from 9 a.m. or even the 31st truffle festival organized on January 28. Take the opportunity to visit this charming little typical Provencal village, it's worth the detour!
