To immerse yourself in the village atmosphere of Bandol, nothing better than going to its center and discovering the church square. A real place of life where grocers, waiters and producers meet every morning.

Sit on the terrace with a good coffee, a fresh croissant harvested from one of the boulangeries of the city, all accompanied by a fresh croissant of the day and the last Var Matin. Take advantage of the first rays of sunshine and soak up this Dolce Vita Provençal.

Right in front of you is the daily market. This delicacy spot is the ideal place to find seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as small local treats such as goat cheese, fish and even shellfish. on the coastal path between bandol and saint-cyr-sur-mer

After a good breakfast and some sweets bought at the market, head to the coastal path ! This hike is the flagship walk of Bandol. It's quite simple, you can't come to our place without going through a piece of it. A natural pearl, mixing turquoise waters and Var wildlife.

To start your exploration of this trail, head towards Bandol Ouest. From the small market, cross the road to reach the quay of honor, then walk along the port on your right. You will also pass right in front of the tourist office, don't hesitate to visit us!

Continue your journey crossing the beautiful sandy cove of Renecros and crossing the pretty pebble coves. The city's concrete roads will gradually give way to dirt roads for an immediate immersion in nature.

picnic at the port d'alon cove

After a little less than 2 hours of walking, you will arrive at the Calanque de Port d'Alon. Pebble beach, rocks containing marine treasures and above all, a sea with a thousand shades of blue, it's high time to go on a snorkelling trip!

Arm yourself with your mask and snorkel and enter the deep end of the Mediterranean. You will undoubtedly come across beautiful species like sea bream, sea bream or even starfish and even if you are lucky, some octopus and lobsters.

Once refreshed, return to the beach to enjoy a moment of relaxation. Take out your picnic and let yourself go. The sun beats down on your skin, the only sound that reaches you is the surf of the waves on the pebbles. You are there, experiencing a real moment of happiness, completely outside of time.

the vineyard trail: an extension of the coastal path

What if we moved to the land side? Continue your nature day by taking the Vineyard path. Departure is from Alon Harbor. At the bottom of the car park you will find a sign indicating the start of the trail. Leave the sea behind you for a few hours and discover the other treasure of our territory: the vineyards. Stroll through the fields, learn more about their history using the markers and admire the surrounding flora.

After about 1 hour 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at trap in Saint-Cyr-sur-mer. From there, you can take the bus to return to Bandol. To find out more about these schedules, which can sometimes fluctuate, click here:

After this beautiful day of hiking, how about a little break? Return to the terrace for a well-deserved gourmet break. Sit down at one of the cafés and let yourself be tempted by a pastry often copied, but never equalled, we are of course talking about the Tropézienne pie. This brioche topped with a to-die-for vanilla cream which has made Saint-Tropez famous for a long time, and even still today. After all these kilometers, of course it's allowed!

There is a well-known custom in the south which is that of the aperitif. And with us, who says aperitif, says sunset on the beach. Where is the best place to watch the sunset? For us, it remains Capelan beach… Well, don’t talk about it too much around you, we still want to keep our little secrets!

🌞 Good to know : the mistral brings magnificent colors to the Bandolean sunsets. If you are with us on a windy day, rejoice, the sky may well be fiery!
