Saturday: historical tour and discovery of Bandol

Take the morning to arrive, settle into your pied-à-terre and unpack your suitcases. No pressure, it's the holidays (and in Bandol what's more)! For lunch, how about start the week with your feet in the water ? Find the list of our beach restaurateurs by clicking here.

In the afternoon, stroll through the pretty shaded streets of the city. Stroll through the shops and learn more about our beautiful village through our historical route. To get the latter, you can browse it here or collect it in paper form from the tourist office directly. This will be an opportunity to come and say hello!

Sunday: hike on the coastal path between Bandol and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer

You can't be in Bandol without doing THE local hike: the coastal path between Bandol and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. About ten kilometers from stunning views, umbrella pines bent by the winds, ocher cliffs which flow into the sea and small pebble coves in which to rest. Such a day deserves a dedicated page. That's good, there she is.

Monday: exploration of the beautiful Porquerolles island

Although Porquerolles is not located in Bandol but in a neighboring town called Hyères, it is still part of our Var territory. And what's more, she is absolutely Magnificent ! Luckily, a shuttle connects Bandol to Porquerolles. And this is the company Atlantis which has the pleasure of leading you straight to paradise.

The appointment is made at 9 a.m. sharp at the boat, on the port quay. The journey then begins for around 1 hour of crossing mixed with passionate and fascinating explanations on the marine fauna and flora. Once docked on Porquerolles, collect a map of the island from the small tourist office in the village and go rent a bike to explore it. 

???? Good to know : electric bikes are available for rental and the island is dotted with climbs of all kinds. If you are not a great sportsman we strongly advise you to opt for this vehicle!

Let's go for a day between umbrella pines and fields of vines between the blue of the sky and the sea. On site, heavenly beaches, wild landscapes and a small village await you. The island also hosts a superb art venue, the Carmignac Foundation, which hosts playful and original exhibitions every year.

Tuesday: Provençal market and relaxing on the beach

Tuesday in Bandol is the day of Brive market ! After a good breakfast taken in your room, on the terrace, or even at the beach, head to the city's port to enjoy the Provençal stalls. Let yourself be captivated by the colors and smells around you. In the distance, you hear the merchants selling their treasures with a beautiful singing accent. A real Southern market, a unique experience to live!

Le midi, go to the church Square and sit down on the terrace. The advantage of this place? The daily market is held right in front and many artisans offer you something to snack on, serving you directly on the terrace. What if we made ourselves a seafood platter with a glass of AOC Bandol rosé?

Finally, theafternoon, take it cool and treat yourself to a few hours at the beach. Sand or pebbles, deckchair or towel, these are the most difficult choices you will have to make today. But don't panic, to help you in this more than perilous mission, here is our advice for choosing the beach of your dreams.

Wednesday: visit to a wine estate and pétanque competition

It is difficult to come and spend your holidays in Bandol without learning more about our wines. This morning, we are offering you an oenological escapade. To do this, Wine Tour organizes circuits for you in the vineyards. Whether you are an amateur or an expert, different formulas are available to help you discover or rediscover our beautiful terroir. In the afternoon why not try your hand at bowling ? Take your best triplet and head to the bowling green located right next to the tourist office. And because learning always begins with a little observation, look at the regulars practice. Then, when you are reassured, get started!

Thursday: discovery of the coastal path by kayak

On Sunday you were able to admire the Var coast from the land and appreciate the local canopy while admiring the sea from the top of sublime cliffs. What if we changed our point of view? Head to the sea today!

After a short lie-in and a good breakfast, we'll meet you around 10 a.m. at Central Beach. Not for a tanning session, but to rent equipment from the well-known Nautical Society of Bandol. Is a kayaking day does that tell you?

When you leave the beach aboard your sea tandem, turn hard right and head out to sea! Follow the Bandol coast and enjoy the coastal path from our beloved Mediterranean. Trust us, having done it, it's worth it! Exploration atmosphere and adventurous soul guaranteed!

🔥 Our little tip : you head towards the submarine rock in order to dock on the small adjoining pebble cove. Ideal for enjoying a picnic in complete privacy. Count approximately 4 hours round trip for this beautiful marine hike that you will remember.

Friday: visit to the Var hinterland

For this last day of vacation, how about heading a little further inland? Just a little huh. The villages that we recommend you visit are only about fifteen minutes by car from Bandol.

Start by the Cadière d'Azur and his typical Provencal village. Stroll through the small colorful and quiet streets typical of here. Then continue on the Castellet. A medieval village, a landmark for local creators and a breathtaking panorama. All combining fields of vines and olive trees with a Mediterranean as far as the eye can see.
