Bandol as a couple for the day in Printemps

Do you have a day off this week and would like to take a break for two? The Var and more particularly our pretty little town of Bandol awaits you with open arms... Here is a program concocted with care by our holiday advisors for a successful day in Bandol in the spring for two.

A Bandolaise morning

For better soak up the village atmosphere of our dear city, what could be better than going to its center, and discover the Bandolese place of life par excellence: the church square. Here we meet every morning, grocers, waiters, producers, oyster farmers and other artisans who come together on the occasion of our daily market.

Sit on the terrace to drink a coffee accompanied by a fresh croissant of the day and the last Var Matin. Enjoy the first rays of sunshine and soak up the sweetness of Southern life. Right in front of you is the small market. A place of delicacies where you will find everything that makes Provence : local fruits and vegetables, extra fresh fish, delicious goat cheeses or even cade, this chickpea pancake, a Toulon specialty to die for! The ideal opportunity to plan a little picnic for later.

Sandy picnic at Renecros

A few minutes' walk from the city center is the beautiful sandy cove de Renecros. This is the only sandy beach in Bandol which is sheltered from the road, as if nestled below superb Bandol buildings. And it is precisely here that you will have your sunny lunch.

Pack the picnice bought at the market and head west of the city. To do this, when you are facing the port, head to your right. You will arrive after about ten minutes of walking at this famous beach. There, take out your towel and take off your sneakers and enjoy a wonderful lunch with a view !

✅ Good to know : at this time of year, water temperature is around 15°C. The most daring can take an invigorating bath to set off again!

Afternoon in Bandol between land and sea

That's not all, but it's time to get back on the road. Well, unless you want to enjoy the sun all afternoon on the beach. But if you prefer to walk, Here is the rest of the program.

Head west once again to take the promenade of the Bandol Classic. This hike of approximately 3 hours, allows you to combine land and sea, coast and hill. On this one, the first part is the same as the coastal path, up to the English cove. There, the two paths separate.

But don't panic, markers await you throughout your route to guide you through the city and our massif. At the end of the path is a great panoramic view mostly Bandol, until Beak of the Eagle of La Ciotat. And who says flagship hike obviously says dedicated page.
