OenoTour Magical Journey

Imagine yourself on the legendary Route des Crêtes. On your right, vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. On your left, the Mediterranean and the Calanques National Park. At the end of the road: the discovery of France's oldest appellation, the AOC Cassis. With this route, we're being a little unfaithful to our beloved AOC Bandol. A little, because it's only a very short adventure with the Bouches-du-Rhône terroir that we're offering you before heading straight to the Var and its Bandol estates. But I promise, the landscapes and the magic of certain places are worth it!

Useful information :

> 10 a.m.: Departure from Bandol

Following your reservation, a meeting point in Bandol is set with Clémence, your guide. Two options are possible: pick you up at your home or meet us in the train station parking lot, in case you arrive by train. Please note that we can meet you, upon request, in one of the neighboring towns (Sanary-sur-mer, Saint-Cyr-sur-mer, La Cadière d'Azur, Le Beausset, Le Castellet), but this will incur an additional charge. Then, we will head towards Cassis via the Route des Crêtes to observe the vineyards by the sea (we promise, it's a feast for the eyes!).

> 11 a.m.: Visit to an AOC Cassis estate

The Cassis AOC covers 210 hectares in the commune of Cassis, between the famous Calanques National Park and Cap Canaille. Its winemakers are renowned throughout the region as the finest producers of white wines. Just that! As if capturing the hearts and taste buds of southerners wasn't enough, the Cassis terroir is also known as the oldest appellation in France. You'll easily understand why a visit to a winery in this region is a must!

> 12:30 p.m.: We're hungry, we're hungry, we're hungry!

The beauty of the landscapes makes you hungry! For food, there are 3 options:

1. Enjoy a private picnic in the vineyards. Needless to say, we know the best spots! On the menu: delicious local, seasonal produce. (extra charge)

2. Enjoy some free time in one of the wonderful villages of Le Castellet and La Cadière d'Azur. This is a great opportunity to do a bit of shopping. Be careful, though: we're counting on you to be on time for the rest of the tour and not let yourself be enchanted by the superb views of the olive groves!

3. Enjoy a feast at the farmhouse inn of the AOC Bandol La Font des Pères estate. The chef creates seasonal cuisine, using produce from their garden and prepared with love, delicacy, and creativity. (extra charge)

> 14 p.m.:
Visit to an AOC Bandol estate

Here we are: it's time to discover the inimitable wines of Bandol! What better way to understand their unique characteristics than to ask all your questions to the people who make them? OenoTour Bandol is organizing a meeting for you with a winemaker selected according to your preferences. On the program: a short tour of the vineyards, a private cellar tour, and a tasting of the estate's vintages. The promise of a friendly and authentic moment of sharing!

> 16 p.m.:
Tasting in a second AOC Bandol estate

While the appellation's specifications are strict, each winemaker still manages to add their own unique touch to the bottle. That's why a tasting is essential so you can truly appreciate the AOC wines. Spoiler alert: this second visit is usually where visitors go crazy. You might end up adding to your cellar... Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any calls from your banker!

> 17:30 p.m.:
Sunset at one of the most beautiful spots in the AOC Bandol

The moment when the magical side of the journey takes on its full meaning. To round off this unforgettable day, your guide will take you to an unusual location steeped in history. Perched at an altitude of over 400 meters, you'll overlook an amphitheater of vines and watch the sun set into the sea... Magical, we told you!

> 18:30 p.m.: Return to Bandol

All good things must come to an end... And yes, we have to drive you home after all! We'll return to our beloved town of Bandol, once again passing along a road lined with vineyards. At OenoTour, we're in wine tourism all the way!
