If you are wondering where to eat with your feet in the water in Bandol, we may have the answer...

We had the pleasure of being invited by the hotel team Thalazur Ile Rousse***** for lunch at La Goélette. And you will understand that we have taken our mission to heart! Because it is always important to test before recommending! 😉 So it was with a lot of effort (or not) that we accepted the invitation. And we did well!
Renecros beach: an idyllic setting made in Bandol
The place where we take you to lunch has the air of a holiday. Sandy beach, crystal clear waters, the gentle sound of the backwash of the waves, iodized air… welcome to the Renecros beach. This is the largest sandy cove in Bandol. Appreciated by holidaymakers in summer, adored by locals in the off-season, this hidden corner was also the source of inspiration for an illustrator from the Var, Mr Z, who designed a poster for the tourist office entitled “Plage de Renecros”. Available in our Online Store !

In addition to being an earthly paradise, this piece of coastline is home to beautiful establishments, including the Thalazur Île Rousse***** hotel. The latter has a beach restaurant by the sweet name of La Goélette. The atmosphere ? Sunbathing, a wooden terrace open to the Mediterranean, and above all, dishes to die for!

An accessible menu created by chef Martin Feregus
They are so good because the menu was created by a local talent, Chef Martin Feragus of the hotel's gourmet restaurant, Les Oliviers. His signature: passion, emotion and sharing. And that's exactly what you find on the plate, even in his beach establishment, the SchoonerOn the menu, varied dishes combining simplicity and flavors, local and seasonal produce and respect for the product, all with a superb value for money.

The menu is made up of several delicacies: tapas main course to share, salads, meat, a fishpond ready to grill, finds of fishing in the surrounding area…A wide and measured selection, which allows us to meet everyone's desires while remaining attentive to the quality of the products and preparations. Thus, on the plate, frank and punchy flavors are on the menu.
We notably had the opportunity to taste the Pulp Salad, grilled sea bream fillet, Caesar salad or evenOrzotto with squid ink…Wonderful. Not to mention the addictive and deliciously regressive sweets. The best part: affordable prices, almost disconcerting given the work and flavors found in the dishes.
🔥 The little extra that changes everything Since Chef Feragus' arrival, a brazier has been set up on the deck of the Goélette. And we can tell you that the smell of lobsters searing in the flames will definitely whet your appetite!
The friendliness and elegance of the staff
The cherry on the cake, the pearl sugar sprinkled on the Tropézienne, from start to finish the staff were remarkably kind. A warm welcome, attentive service throughout the meal and above all a frank and contagious smile ! Then, all this with astonishing simplicity, far from the stilted image that one can have of an establishment of this standing.

A heavenly setting, a tasty menu, simple and attentive staff, affordable prices for exceptional quality, the beach restaurant La Goélette tick all the boxes. An experience between beach and gastronomy, which we all already want to renew. One piece of advice: go for it, you won't be disappointed!
