Eden Roc and Barry beaches are subject to a recurring problem of runoff overflow. The city has approached the CASSB, which has been managing this competence since 2019, to find solutions.

🎉 GOOD NEWS : the beaches are once again accessible and authorized for swimming! (update of 02/05/2025).

closed until further notice

To protect the population, the town of Bandol was forced to ban swimming on Eden Roc beach and its neighbor Barry. Indeed, the ARS (Regional Health Agency), in addition to tightening its regulations, has noted a deteriorated network

As a result, the South Sainte Baume Agglomeration Community (CASSB) has planned to carry out network renovation work before the summer. Nevertheless, even if the objective is to improve the situation, nothing assures us that these are sufficient to lift the ban.

The municipality therefore closes these beaches until further notice.

& the other beaches?

Although we love these coves, the other beaches in the city remain open with excellent water quality! Also, here are the places that will welcome you for an afternoon sunbathing or for a snorkelling outing:

Plage Centrale

Plage de Renecros

Plage du Casino

Plage du Grand Vallat

Plage des Engraviers

the importance of water quality

The city of Bandol has embarked on a certification process for bathing water quality. The audit carried out in May 2019, on the compliance of bathing water quality management, made it possible to guarantee that the municipality met the regulatory requirements of the reference system.
