You may not have known it, but Paul Ricard played a big role in economic development of the region. Yes, we are talking about the famous industrialist, distributor of the aniseed alcohol of the same name. This man, sometimes Mayor, artist, industrialist or even defender of nature, is part of our history.

In the 60s he notably became the owner of two beautiful islands: the Embiez and Bendor. One has become a sanctuary for coastal flora and fauna and the other, an arty landmark currently being rebuilt. A fishing village

Originally, we are above all a fishing village. There was a time when we could spend entire afternoons watch the fishermen repair their nets on harbour..
