With its little villages, such as La Cadière d’Azur perched on the top of the hill or Le Castellet, a 12th century medieval village, surrounded by ramparts and gripped to a woody outcrop, Bandol has got one of the most typical countryside of Provence.
Years ago this land brought prosperity to create the actual town.
It produces thousand and one herbs, fruits and vegetables perfumes which hang along the markets and give this particular taste to the Provençal cuisine.
- The Big Provençal Market takes place every Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm all along the Charles De Gaulle Quay.
- The Daily Market takes place every morning on the "Place de la Liberté " from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm (fruits, vegetables & local products)
- WARNING : Due to road works for the new Quai De Gaulle, the daily market now takes place from the pier to the Tourist Office.
- The Night Markets : from June,15 to September,15, this market takes place on the Charles De Gaulle Quay & starts at 7:00 pm.
